Class Types

The Bright Side Studio is Uptown Waterloo's home for heated yoga and Pilates — a welcoming space where all levels come together to move, grow, and feel good, inside and out.

Yoga

A well-rounded class that weaves together breath, movement, and mindfulness in a warm, heated room. Drawing on traditional yoga principles, this class builds strength and flexibility while leaving you feeling grounded and refreshed. Whether you're stepping on the mat for the first time or returning after years away, you'll always find a place here.

Pilates

Strengthen from the inside out in our warm, heated studio. Pilates focuses on core stability, precise movement, and postural alignment to build a strong, resilient body that feels good in everyday life. Taught in a heated and encouraging environment, expect to incorporate props like weights, pilates balls, bands, and sliders. This class is open to all levels — no experience needed, just a willingness to show up.

Yin

Slow down and sink in. Held in a gently heated space, Yin is a deeply restorative practice where poses are held for several minutes at a time, targeting the connective tissues and inviting a profound release. This meditative, floor-based class is the perfect antidote to a busy day — suitable for all levels and especially welcoming to those new to yoga.

Yang/Yin

The best of both worlds, practiced in a heated space. This class opens with an active, warming yang practice to build heat and move energy through the body, before transitioning into long, quiet yin holds to cool down and restore. It's a beautifully balanced experience that leaves you feeling both energized and at ease.

Flow

Move, breathe, and find your rhythm in a warm, heated room. Flow links breath with movement in a dynamic, creative sequence that feels more like a moving meditation than a workout. Each class offers something fresh while building strength, mobility, and a sense of ease — accessible to all levels with options offered throughout.

Rocket Yoga

Bold, playful, and empowering — and turned up a notch in our heated studio. Rocket Yoga is a dynamic Ashtanga-inspired practice that makes inversions, arm balances, and challenging postures accessible to everyone. Expect to be encouraged, to surprise yourself, and to leave feeling strong, accomplished, and a little bit uplifted.

Slow Flow & Roll

Move gently, release deeply — all in the comfort of a heated room. This class combines a slow, mindful flow with targeted foam rolling to loosen tight muscles and ease tension throughout the body. It's a wonderful option for recovery days, those managing soreness, or anyone who simply wants to move with a little extra care and intention.

Primal Flow

A guided movement class that blends primal movement, mobility, somatic practices, and breathwork into a fluid, yoga-inspired flow. Through crawling, squatting, lunging, spinal movement, and quadrupedal patterns, you’ll build strength, coordination, mobility, and deeper body awareness from the ground up. Each class begins with gentle somatic movement and ends with restorative breathwork, leaving you feeling grounded, connected, and energized.
